Mass Effect 2 ’s previously detailed Firewalker downloadable has been dated for next week; the five free missions and the Hammerhead hover tank that’s made good use of in said missions will be available through the in-game Cerberus Network starting Tuesday, March 23, a tweet from BioWare’s official Mass Effect 2 Twitter account informs.

BioWare is preparing another batch of free Mass Effect 2 content for launch “in a couple weeks,” the company’s Twitter account teases. No other details were immediately offered though it’s likely we already know what the content is — when the Cerberus Network ( Mass Effect 2 ’s in-game delivery method for free DLC) was first announced, BioWare said to expect another free content pack “after launch,” and we’re guessing this is it. The pack was said to include new missions, a Hammerhead hover tank vehicle, the M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun, the Cerberus Assault Armor as well as some “unique” in-game items

Downloadable content for Mass Effect 2 will be distributed through The Cerberus Network, an in-game “portal” that will offer news on upcoming content as well as the content itself, BioWare announced today. The Network is activated with a code included in all new retail and digital copies of the game; those who buy the game used will have to pay a one time fee to gain access.
